Our prepress department works with you upfront to fully understand your brand’s design intent. Our global scale gives us the ability to collaborate with our experts all over the world to implement the best practices and newest technologies available. The use of the latest closed-loop color management tools enable us to predictably and consistently transform your design expectations into print reality.
All of our Graphics departments have been standardized utilizing Esko’s newest Imaging Engine RIP and DeskPack workflow software, in addition to the latest versions of industry standard application software.
Standardization includes extensive workflow automation development to support automated trapping, proof creation, and layout/step file creation. Workflows support all aspects of MCC’s wide variety of print and decorating technologies. These workflows provide consistency and accuracy in file management and support our goal of turning graphics production as efficiently as possible.
Our workflows utilize XML integration to push customer and item information from our front-end systems to our Graphics Workflows and servers, limiting duplicated entry and possibility of re-entry errors.
Our Prepress departments utilize a custom Prepress Management System that allows us to manage the entire front-end process flow, from file receipt and preflight, through label engineering, proof request, proof approval, and plate/print tool output. This system is integrated to our front-end item/job management system and production schedule, providing the capability to track an item completely through the entire prepress and print production process. The system includes reporting capabilities to ensure we are managing the process flow as efficiently as possible, and provides the information we need to understand trends and needed resources.
Our Graphics workflows and department management are structured to provide the flexibility to load level graphics work between multiple sites, depending on the individual needs of each of the supported printing facilities.
All production facilities have internal capabilities to produce High Definition Printing Plates and Rotary Screens. MCC utilizes standardized plate making and screen making equipment between production facilities to ensure print/plate consistency from plant to plant. All plate making departments follow defined standardized QA and preventive maintenance programs to ensure consistent and optimal plate and screen reproduction.
All graphics, QA, and production departments utilize the latest color management software and hardware to aid in the understanding of optimal print conditions, the creation of press characterizations/profiles, and the management of implying and measuring to those standards.
We also have G7 certified professionals on staff.
